The Airstream - conversion of our Mobile stage and our Mobile Music Stage was a real challenge. Getting an opening this size into a hull structure like an Airstream is no easy task.
The advantages for our customers are obvious:
- extremely short and easy assembly time
- extremely elegant look
- The stage area can be expanded to 20 m2 with scissor platforms
To ensure the stability of the shell, a solid frame had to be built around the opening and connected to the shell and the frame below. The big challenge is of course the shape. Each element has to be handcrafted exactly to the shape of the trailer.
The wings must have high stability with low weight. That is why aluminum was chosen as the material for the frame and the wing doors themselves.
With a converted Airstream you are guaranteed a brilliant appearance!
So that the wing doors can be opened and closed easily and evenly, the suspension point of the gas pressure springs must also be exactly right. There is a risk here that the springs develop an enormous pull shortly before the door closes completely and the door then slams shut with unbelievable force, which our professionals know how to prevent.
The conversion is finished and has been approved by the TÜV. Now the trailer just has to be polished so that the doors fit seamlessly into the overall picture. To make this possible, we used high-purity Alclad aluminum for the outer layer.
The Airstream is now ready for use as a mobile stage or presentation room to attract maximum attention for our customers.
