Our first Airstream Tiny House is now available. After 6 months of construction the time has finally come and the project has been successfully completed.
The task was to design an autonomously functioning, stylish Airstream Tiny House.
Folder Airstream Tiny House low resWe chose a vintage Airstream Sovereign from 1970. This was completely overhauled and then polished to a high gloss on the outside.
A terrace at the level of the entrance is planned for the outside area. This is roofed over and is used to collect rainwater. It also offers shade on hot days.

The round interior and the largely white surfaces visually enlarge the living space and also appear cozy and warm thanks to the warm white RGB LED lighting and the floor and work surfaces made of oak. Almost all storage options are equipped with pull-outs, which makes everything easily accessible.
A fold-out oak table also provides more space should it be needed.
An Airstream appears light and spacious thanks to its window configuration. This was enhanced by the colors of the interior and furnishings.
The bathroom was also kept bright and equipped with a composting toilet. The RGB Led lighting lets the white walls shine in any color.

How was the energy problem in the tiny house solved?
On the one hand, 6 pieces of 160 W photovoltaic elements were attached to the roof, which feed a 300 Ah gel battery placed inside the trailer. That should be enough for normal use. If the sun really doesn't shine for a long time, a small, whisper-quiet generator is used to recharge the battery. This means that all devices, including dishwashers and hot water boilers, can be operated completely independently.
We use round, illuminated boat switches as switches for the tiny house, which underline the atmosphere of Airstream Living.
An all in one solution from Victron Energy was used as the energy center with inverter, BMS and solar charge controller.
